  • TTN ropes in Jagdish Mulchandani as CFO

    MUMBAI: Times Television Network (TTN) has roped in Jagdish Mulchandani as the CFO of the company effective 2 April. Prior to joining TTN, he was associated with MediaPro as CFO.

    Based in Mumbai, Mulchandani will lead and drive finance-related strategy and operations for Times Television Network. In addition, he will also oversee the functions of Distribution, Traffic and Administration of the all the TTN channels ? ET Now, Movies Now, Times Now and zoOm.
     
    Mulchandani will be reporting into Avinash Kaul, Chief Executive Officer ? ET Now, Times Now and zoOm.

    In his new role, he will leverage his distribution experience with TTN having now adopted its own penetration and distribution team and its domestic subscription business now with MSM Discovery.

    Speaking on the announcement, TTN MD and CEO Sunil Lulla said, "Jagdish comes on board at the opportune time to help steer and grow Times Television Network?s value proposition. Armed with a vast experience across various industries including the Media & Entertainment domain in India and overseas, Jagdish is a key member of Times Television Network?s leadership team. Apart from Finance, his experience with Distribution will be an asset for our business in this new era of TV Broadcasting. I am sure he will add great value to the profitable growth of our channels and our business."

    MUMBAI: English news channel Times Now is all set to air the ?Amazing Indians Awards? on 26 January.

    The awards in association with Mahindra honour people who have achieved success through their grit to bring about change in society.

    The event was held in New Delhi recently. It will air on 26 January at 7 pm and repeat telecast on 27 January at 9.30 pm.

    The winners were selected from a list of 56 nominees through a rigorous screening process by a panel of judges including Dr. Devi Shetty, Sharmila Tagore, Sudhir Dhar, Air Chief Marshal Fali Homi Major and Prasoon Joshi.

    India vice-president Hamid Ansari was present as the chief guest.

    Times Television Network managing director and chief executive officer Sunil Lulla described ?Amazing Indians? as a breath of fresh air ?in the rushing midst of breaking news?.

    This year the ?Amazing Indians awards? added two more categories to the roster making it a total of 13 categories. "Together we can" honors individuals from different walks of life, who have come together to create a movement and assist others in need. ?Indian at heart" awards Indians living internationally who have come back to the county to make a difference.

    Mumbai: The Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF) has decided to postpone its inaugural Indian Television Fest (ITF), which was to be held on 2 and 3 November in Goa.

    The festival will now be held next year. It would have for the first time provided a platform to network and exchange ideas for television executives and people who create and ideate.

    When contacted Times Television Network MD & CEO Sunil Lulla declined to state the reasons for postponing ITF but said that IBF will be issuing a statement on Friday.
