BARC week 20: Colgate Dental Cream becomes the top brand

MUMBAI: The Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India has released its data for top advertisers and brands for the period between 11 May 2019 and 17 May 2019.

The data reflects top 10 advertiser and brands across genre on Indian television, including OOH screen, (U+R): 2+, Individuals NCCS All, demonstrating ads that were inserted the most in week 20 of 2019.

Top Advertisers:

Hindustan Unilever Ltd, Reckitt Benckiser (India) Ltd, and ITC remain the top three advertisers in week 20 as well with 140957, 82097, and 43015 ad insertions on TV, respectively.

Marico slipped from the fourth spot to rank seventh, and was replaced by Godrej Consumer Products Ltd, which stepped up from sixth position of last week, with 31120 insertions.

Procter and Gamble also took a tremendous leap from ninth rank last week to place itself in the fifth spot in week 20, with 30425 insertions.

Top Brands:

The week 20 of 2019 in BARC rankings saw massive changes in the rankings as compared to the previous time.

Colgate Dental Cream took a big leap from last week’s seventh spot to become the top brand this time, with 12819 insertions. Last week’s rank 4, Trivago, positioned itself in spot two with 11739 ad insertions.

Vimal Elaichi Pan Masala also rose up from sixth position last week to rank third with 11241 insertions.

Dettol Toilet Soaps entered the list at fourth spot with 11011 ad insertions on TV. It was followed by e-commerce site Flipkart.com that climbed up from last week’s eighth slot, with 9893 insertions.
