Myntra Jabong appoints Harish Narayanan as new head of marketing

He replaces Mithun Sundar who will lead revenue amd fashion strategy

MUMBAI: Myntra announced the appointment of Harish Narayanan, who headed B2B marketing for YouTube APAC, as head of marketing for Myntra Jabong. Harish will take over from Mithun Sundar, the current head of revenue and marketing, who will continue to lead revenue and will also be responsible for fashion strategy.

Narayanan comes with over 12 years of experience in marketing with a deep knowledge of consumer branding and digital marketing strategy. In his previous role, he delivered record-breaking growth for the video-sharing behemoth in the region, through industry-shaping narratives and scaled marketing for YouTube ads, with campaigns, case studies, and industry thought leadership. In his new role at Myntra Jabong, he will lead the overall marketing function, with a strong focus on driving growth and consumer engagement. Narayanan will report to Myntra Jabong head Amar Nagaram.

Over the past year, Sundar has played a pivotal role in Myntra’s growth, devising and implementing innovative strategies for growth, as well as improving brand salience. He will now focus on fashion strategy and continue to lead revenue for Myntra Jabong. In his new role, he will be working closely with Amar Nagaram and multiple group stakeholders to chart out the strategy for the next phase of growth for Myntra and Fashion as a business. He will also lead analytics, business intelligence and strategic planning and execution as a part of this role.

Speaking on the occasion, Myntra Jabong head Amar Nagaram said, “Harish joins us at a very exciting phase of growth and expansion. Narayanan is a recipient of multiple prestigious accolades, including Cannes Lions, Effie, AME, P&G, and Google Marketing Award for several consecutive years. He was also associated with Procter & Gamble (P&G) and served the multinational consumer goods corporation in various capacities, related to marketing and branding, before his stint with Google. He is an MBA from IIM-Lucknow and a BE in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
