MUMBAI: Cartoon Network is all set to premiere action-adventure and comedy-drama series Dragons: Riders of Berk in India, starting 24 February.

The weekly animated series produced by DreamWorks Animation will air every Sunday at 4 pm only on Cartoon Network.

In 2010, Cartoon Network had acquired worldwide broadcast rights for the weekly animated series based on the movie How to Train Your Dragon.

Dragons: Riders of Berk, is an epic adventure-comedy series that centers on the unique friendship and special bond between the kids living on the island Berk and the dragons that they once feared. Viewers can embark on adventurous journeys filled with high-flying action combined with humorous moments as they enter into the mythical world of Vikings and Dragons.

Turner International India South Asia Director, Content Krishna Desai said, "As part of our endeavor of being the ultimate destination for cartoons, international and local, Cartoon Network is thrilled to bring DreamWorks Dragons: Riders of Berk series to India. This international action-adventure-humor series is a visual treat and a worthy successor to the globally successful movie How To Train Your Dragon that it is inspired from. Kids and parents will be enthralled as this show takes their imagination to new heights."

Dragons: Riders of Berk features an all-star line-up of voice talent, including Jay Baruchel (Hiccup), America Ferrera (Astrid), Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Fishlegs) and T.J. Miller (Tuffnut), all of whom are original cast members from the feature film, which was among the top ten movies of 2010 grossing approximately $500 million at the global box office.
