Karnataka state film awards announced

BANGALORE: Chigurida Kanasu, produced by Parvathamma Rajkumar and directed by T S Nagabharana won the award for the best feature film for 2003-2004. The film won four awards including best actor - Shivrajkumar, best dialogues and best music.
 
 

Actor Radhika has won the best female lead actor award for her role in Taayi Illada Tabbali. A big budget film Chandra Chokari won three awards. The lifetime achievement award went to Kuppuswamy Naidu of Chamundeshwari Studios.
 
 

There were no entries for the children and sub-regional entries. Also of note was an award under the social impact category for the yet to be released Naidu studios National Award winning film Pravaha (floods) directed by Ramdas Naidu.
