The jury for the Indian Telly Awards is slated to meet from 9-16 September at The Leela Kempinski Hotel in Mumbai.

During this hectic eight day schedule the jury will have to view and decide upon more than 1,000 entries that are expected to be made for this year's Indian Telly Awards.

The Indian Telly Awards 2003 are divided into three categories - The Trade Awards, The Technical & Promo Awards and The Popular Awards.

A highly distinguished jury comprising some of the most laudable names in the industry: like McCann national creative director Prasoon Joshi, veteran film director Lekh Tandon, Times of India president Arun Arora, well known documentary film maker Rakesh Sharma, columnist Shailaja Bajpai, AGK Brand Consulting chairman AG Krishnamurthy, Business World senior editor Vanita Kohli-Khandekar, socialite Sabira Merchant, bureaucrat turned broadcasting head honcho Rathikant Basu, media columnist Shanta Gokhale, actress Kiran Juneja and writer Ravi Rai will decide the winners of the Popular Awards and the Technical Awards.

The winners of some of the categories of the Popular Awards will be decided through a mix of jury selection/shortlisting and polling thereafter, while others will be decided through pure jury selection alone. The winners of the Trade Awards will be decided through a popular poll.

All entries will be critically acclaimed by the jurors and five people in each category will be shortlisted.

Categories which need to be polled will be put up by 25 September on http://www.indiantellyawards.com and http://www.indiantelevision.com.
