Zee beats Sony in weekday channel shares: Madison study

MUMBAI: Madison Media's analysis of TAM ratings for the week ending 21 June 2003 shows that Zee TV leads Sony in channel shares on weekdays (Monday - Thursday) amongst females 25 years+ in the socio-economic class ABC in C&S homes.
The Madison Media analysis states that Zee TV has four programmes each in the top 50 list both the TGs. The channel shares are as follows:

The study also mentions that Zee TV has reduced the gap between itself and Sony in certain markets as far as weekly GRPs are concerned.

The analysis states that Zee TV has four programmes each in the top 50 list both the TGs. The average of the Top 25 Zee programmes has increased over the previous week.

The Madison analysis also mentions that Thursday Premiere Movie Pran Jaaye Par Shaan Na Jaye delivered 4.05 TRP and 3.95 TRP in 4+ C&S and Female 25+ ABC, C&S respectively. The movie occupied the 23rd position in Top 50 in 4+ C&S and 32nd position in Fem 25+ABC, C&S. This movie delivered 7.41 and 8.47 TRP respectively in 4+ and Females in Mumbai city.
The music show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa touched the 3 TRP mark and with the Golden Hunt poised to start in July, the performance can only get better, says the Madison analysis.
Saturday Hindi feature film Chaalbaaz found a place in the Top 50 list for 4+C&S with 1.6 TRP.
The programme related to cuisines, Khana Khazana delivered 1.9 TRP in females in the NW markets. This, claims the Madison study, is better than Sony and Star Plus in that slot.
