Star News launches 'Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai' a special wedding series

Mumbai, November 15, 2005: With the wedding season around the corner, STAR News, India's trendsetting first homegrown news channel, today announced a new addition to its variety filled line-up with a 'wedding special' reality series. Interestingly titled, Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, this first-of-its-kind reality special, will air daily over a period of two weeks starting 15 November. This special series will follow the 'special' bride right from start of the wedding plans till her auspicious Grihapravesh.

This series promises to be exciting as well as informative for the viewers and give them a flavour of the festive season. The series will feature all the elements & rituals of a wedding including the actual wedding in detail in separate episodes. Wedding preparations & planning starting from the bachelor party, wedding cards, venue selection, music arrangement, hairstyles and make-up, mehendi, sangeet, food, shopping for both bride and groom, jewelery, furniture, grihapravesh and finally the honeymoon packages.

Watch the A to Z of what goes into a wedding with the excitement of witnessing the making of a real wedding. Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai will showcase as a special segment daily between 3 and 4 pm on weekdays and also between 10 and 10.30 pm on weekends. This special reality series will kick start from 15th November 2005.
