MUMBAI: Some new parting shots from the leading Hindi news channel Aaj Tak of TV Today network. Sahara news group, which is on a poaching spree, has successfully wooed senior professionals from Aaj Tak.

Cinema editor Manish Dubey, Mumbai-based senior producer output head Manoj and presenter-cum-reporter Anju Pankaj Guleria are slated to join the Sahara Samay news channel family primarily for the Sahara Samay Rashtriya.

Leaving the news leader and looking forward to some more challenges, Dubey has been assigned the portfolio of editorial head of Sahara Mumbai channel. This would mean that Rajiv Bajaj, the present head of the Mumbai channel, will be handed other major resposnibilties, including the expanding print medium activities of Sahara in west and south India.

On the other hand, Manoj will take over the task of executive producer to based in Delhi. While the face of Aaj Tak Anju Pankaj Guleria, will be joining as senior producer-cum-anchor.

Confirming the development, Sahara India Media & Entertainment vice president Ambikanand Sahay said, "Inducting 28-year-old Manish Dubey as editorial head of Sahara Mumbai is one of the boldest experiments that has been undertaken by the channel."

Commenting on other professionals, in the same breath, he adds, "Manoj is equally dynamic and a forward looking professional and likewise Anju is amongst the best-known faces on the TV screen."

On quizzing Aaj Tak news director QW Naqvi about the movement of the professionals, he said, "People movement is bound to take place when new channels are launched."
