MUMBAI: In an event that seeks to mix music with fashion, the Rupert Murdoch-owned broadcaster Fox in the US will celebrate the fusion of fashion and music with the star-studded, event Fashion Rocks on 26 September.

The special will juxtapose music performances with interviews with world-renowned fashion designers.

The special will explore the inextricable link between style and sound through the decades with musical appreciation. It will give viewers insights from music idols and fashion icons and "rockumentary"-style segments spotlighting designers such as Dolce & Gabbana, Roberto Cavalli, Gucci, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren.

The music segment kicks off with Black Eyed Peas. Alternative rock star Avril Lavigne joins John Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls on his hit Iris. Rolling Stones guitarist Ron Wood accompanies Rod Stewart on the classics Maggie May and Stay With me.
