'CSI: Miami' season three tops ratings in Asia

MUMBAI: CSI: Miami proves to be growing in popularity as viewership numbers increase through the years across the Asian region. In the recently concluded season three, AXN topped ratings among cable PMEB viewers, beating all cable channels during the telecast timebelt of Miami in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong [according to TNS Singapore, AGB NMR Malaysia, Hong Kong (Hong Kong data till 1 January 06)].

Winner of numerous awards including 2003 Peoples Choice Award for Favourite New Television Series, CSI: Miami is living up to its critical acclaims. The latest season four continues its good performance as the number one series on Monday nights in the US.

The season three finale drew in a record high number of PMEB viewers especially in Malaysia, propelling AXN to the top position among international cable channels as well as terrestrial channels, scoring an impressive rating point of 9.54 according to a AGB Nielsen media research report.

SPE Networks - Asia Pte. Ltd general manager Ricky Ow said, "Credit goes to the producers of the CSI series, they have been able to keep the plots fresh and engaging through the years, even though there are already three different CSI series now.
