Rediffusion DYR, Vyas Giannetti and JWT win at the ECO India contest

MUMBAI: The theme that ECO India coined in for its annual contest this year was Vehicular Pollution. The contest received as many as 64 entries, which comprised ready-to-air television commercials, prepared at the entrant's cost. Of the 64 commercials an eminent panel of judges chose 3 prize-winning commercials which will be extensively aired on Indian television networks.
The first prize was bagged by Surojit Sen from Rediffusion DYR, Delhi.

 
 
The second position went to Sameer S. Murudkar from Vyas Giannetti Creative, Mumbai along with the team, which includes Dhaval Ramtirthkar, Bhairav Parikh, Shrinivas Murthy, Sitesh and Varsha Srivastava and Pankaj Patil.
In the third position was PSA created by Bhavna Gupta and Sonia Bhatnagar from JWT, Delhi.

 
 
The jury comprising Amit Khanna, Govind Nihalani, Ramesh Sippy, Sam Balsara, Rajesh Pant and Shankar Dutta reviewed the entries received from across the country. The themes varied from funny, emotive to the drastic. From animation, stark realism to a futurist scenario, the entries were of a high caliber said the jury.
 
 
Earth Communications Office -India Association for the second year around, had launched a nationwide contest for a 25-second or less commercial on the theme of Vehicular Pollution in January 2005.
The prize offered to the winners is an opportunity to get his/her work shown on national and regional TV channels with a credit by-line.

ECO India is also exploring the possibility of sending the entries for festivals in India & abroad later in the year.
