Paramount's interactive family ride inspired by Scooby-Doo

VIRGINIA: This is news that will cement the strong synergy that exists between the theme park and television characters.

Paramount’s Kings Dominion in the US has built the first interactive family ride in the theme park’s history Scooby-Doo! and the Haunted Mansion.

An official release informs that the new adventure ride is based on the Hanna-Barbera character Scooby-Doo. The dog has earned the distinction of being the longest-running cartoon on television. The mystery-solving Great Dane also starred in more than 310 animated episodes and a live action movie. In India, viewers can catch the doggie in action on Cartoon Network.

Coming back to the theme park attraction, guests will join Scooby-Doo and the entire Mystery, Inc gang of Shaggy, Fred, Daphne and Velma on the case to explain the mysterious activity of a green ghost haunting a Victorian Mansion. The new attraction will open next year.

The animated adventure ride will begin with guests boarding their very own replica Mini-Mystery Machine that travels through ghastly graveyards, creepy corridors, and down into dingy dungeons.

While winding through the mansion, riders will be equipped with Fright Light ghost blasters to zap ghosts and collect points. Points will be tallied at the end of the experience to see who has the best ghost-zapping ability. Paramount is a subsidiary of Viacom.
