'Karishma' back on Sahara on 25 August

MUMBAI: Seems like August is definitely a good month for Sahara. Besides the two new launches- Hukum Mere Aka and Arzoo Hai Tu, the real big ticket item of the channel Karishma - The Miracles of Destiny will be properly launched on 25 August, right from episode one.
After the legal calisthenics that lasted almost three months, the Supreme Court finally dismissed American novelist Barbara Taylor Bradford's petition, challenging a Kolkata High Court order allowing telecast of mega serial Karishma: A Miracle of Destiny on Sahara TV, on 4 August.
With the path paved for a smooth telecast, the daily will be launched on 25 August at 9:30 pm. Industry sources say a fresh round of promotional campaigns is about to get underway to re-launch the show with a big bang.

The show, touted as one of the biggest serials ever to be made in the history of Indian television till date, was originally scheduled to launch on 12 May. But after Bradford petitioned the Kolkata High Court, it was aborted after the first episode.
As the legal battle ensued, the show was aired on the channel, albeit sporadically, depending on the court's ruling at that time. Later after the Calcutta Court gave a go ahead to the show on 21 July, Sahara quietly went ahead with the telecast of the episode number three, four and five.
