MUMBAI: Sports broadcaster ESPN is celebrating 25 years of existence with an initiative that will bring sports fans from across the globe together to share their interests and passions.

In May, it will launch the multimedia site ESPN25.com.

This is a part of its Season of the Fan campaign for the broadcaster that celebrates its 25th anniversary on 7 September 2004.

From May, fans can log onto ESPN25 .com and upload a photo of themselves and chronicle their sports fanaticism. Their words and images may wind up in one of the many print or television ads that will be featured both on ESPN properties and a wide variety of media outlets throughout the remainder of the year. The campaign will be made up exclusively from fans' images.

The site will also offer fans the opportunity to create their own fan card and submit photographs. The site will have interactive features such as Fact or Fiction and Traditions and Superstitions. On air across the globe, ESPN will examine and celebrate the last 25 years in sports. The special will feature more than 30 hours of television programming.
