Chinnaswamy stadium goes Wi-Fi for Bangalore ODI

BANGALORE: As India readies to take on South Africa at Chinnaswamy Stadium, the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) is getting connected with Wi-Fi technology.

VSNL, the company that pioneered internet in India, along with KSCA, the body that manages cricket affairs for the state, are now offering Wi-Fi Service at the Chinnaswamy Cricket stadium in Bangalore, making it the first cricket stadium to get wireless connectivity.

We are extremely happy to associate with KSCA in offering this service," said VSNL chief operating officer , retail and broadband business, Shashi Kalathil.

As per the agreement between the two sides, VSNL will offer Tata Indicom's Wi-Fi Service for five years at the stadium. The service will be launched on 19 November during the second match between India and South Africa and shall be available at the club house, guest rooms and conference halls and also at the corporate boxes and press enclosure at the stadium.

Tata Indicom Wi-Fi Service will eventually roll out 1000 hot-spots all over India.
