ITV, Channel Ten to telecast Euro 2004

MUMBAI: Channel Ten and ITV will telecast live the UEFA Euro 2004 soccer championship. The tourney kicks off on 12 June to 4 July in Portugal.Channel Ten will operate through ITVs satellite.

Managing Director of the events marketing firm, Lowe Scanad, Nandkishor Buty quoted in media reports as saying all 31 games would be televised live on the two stations, reaching out to the local soccer fans.

Buty revealed that ITV and Channel Ten have developed sponsorship packages and spot buy packages for various clients to give them an opportunity to market their brands.

IPP Executive Chairman Reginald Mengi called for firms to use the event to advertise their products, as it was one of the leading soccer tournaments in the world held after every four years.
