MUMBAI: Big it may not be, but it is carving out a distinct space on the television landsape.

Good health content is finding an audience, particularly in the metro markets and over a period of time this will grow, experts vouch.

As per the ADEX analysis out of the 101 channels, 43 were found to have Health Shows. An total of 115 hours of programming time was devoted to Health Shows across these 43 Channels per week.

Health Shows occupied a mere 2% of Telecast Time on these 43 channels. The highest proportion of Health Programs were on Aastha2, Raj Digital Plus & DD11 Gujarathi.

Within Health Shows, Hindi and Tamil language Health Shows have a 53 percentage share of Telecast Time and 73% share of viewership. Saturdays appears to be the best time to have a Health Show as 15% of Telecast Time generates 29% of viewership!
