PEDIGREE, a brand of MARS Petcare, has been named India’s most trusted brand in the dog food category in the 10th edition of The Brand Trust Report, India Study 2020. It also ranked 92 in the overall FMCG category.

MARS Petcare is the world’s leading pet food company, serving over 400 million pets across the world through nutrition, health and veterinary services. With brands such as PEDIGREE®. CHAPPI® and IAMS® dog food, and WHISKAS® and SHEBA® cat food, the company is dedicated to creating a better world for pets by advancing science, innovation and care.

Ganesh Ramani, General Manager, MARS Petcare, said: “We are thrilled and honoured that Pedigree ranked as the most trusted dog food brand in the 10th edition of The Brand Trust Report, India Study 2020. This ranking is a validation and is reflective of the authenticity we provide through our pet food and care products. This is the first time that dog food has appeared in this report. The commitment and passion with which we have built customer loyalty and business relationships have helped forge long-lasting bonds between the brand and the customers.”

Despite the unprecedented times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, MARS Petcare’s belief of creating a better place for pets remained strong with the company launching new products in the market. To that end, Pedigree recently launched a campaign promoting health and care of stray dogs. MARS Petcare also launched some of its international range of products – Temptations cat treats and their first non-food product, CATSAN cat litter – in India. The strategic growth and validation from online and offline retailers boosted confidence in the brands and facilitated growth of the company in India.
