• Zee Caf? leads English GEC genre again

    MUMBAI: Zee Caf? is ruling the charts in English GEC genre, this week with 5.3 GRPs followed by AXN - 4.2 GRPs and Star World - 2.8 GRPs. Zee Caf?, the English general entertainment channel (GEC) of Zee Network, has also increased its market share to 35% this week, as compared to 27% last week.

    Moreover, all the Top 5 shows in the genre are of Zee Caf? with The Mentalist, Make it or Break it and Pretty Little Liars ruling the roost. Zee Caf? has witnessed TSPV of 33 minutes, which is higher than any other Eng GECs in year 2012. Zee Caf? has been into top 3 players amongst Eng GECs since the beginning of Year 2012.

    Also, Zee Caf? once again is a market leader in Bangalore and Calcutta this week with 7.2 and 22.1 GRPs respectively. Zee Caf? has been leading the English GEC genre over the past six weeks in 5 Metros, CS AB 15-24 category. (Source - TAM, 5 Metros, CS AB 15-24 Wk 21 to 26).

To that end he gave up his lucrative pretence of being a psychic and joined the California Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as a consultant to the team responsible for investigating the Red John case, led by Senior Agent Teresa Lisbon. Using Jane?s exceptional gift for observation and his mentalist tricks, the team is able to close an unprecedented number of cases, but Jane?s unconventional and often outright illegal methods also bring much censure down on Lisbon?s head, making his assistance both a blessing and a curse. Meanwhile, the hunt for Red John continues...

    Make It or Break It, is an American television drama series that focuses on the lives of teen gymnasts who strive to make it to the Olympic Games. The series was inspired by Touchstone?s 2006 comedy film, Stick It. An ABC Family show, nominated for 3 teen choice awards in 2012 and 2 nominations at the 2011 Teen Choice awards.

    Pretty Little Liars is a clique of teenage girls drift apart after the group?s leader, Alison DiLaurentis, goes missing. Her body is found and the girls are reunited at her funeral. All four begin receiving text messages from the mysterious ?A?, who seems to know many of the group?s deepest secrets, some of which only the late Alison had knowledge of. The girls join forces against A?s scheming and try to uncover the mystery of Alison?s death.

  • Zee Caf? leads around 1300 patrons to take a Green Turn!

    Mumbai: Zee Caf??s ecological initiative Green Turn has turned out to be a huge success. The Green turn initiative touched upon people from various walks of life.

    Many movie buffs had a different experience on June 5th. Apart from the conventional dose of entertainment from the movie, they felt a sense of contentment by contributing their bit to Mother Earth. More than 550 saplings were distributed at various Cinemax multiplexes across Mumbai, Delhi and Pune. Cinemax multiplexes had Zee Caf??s Green Turn stalls on June 5th, where patrons adopted a sapling and took The Green Oath to protect and nurture the same.

    Green Turn initiatives also went out to spread awareness amongst Mocha Coffee customers across their Mumbai, Delhi and Pune outlets. Around 350 customers went home happy having taken The Green Oath.

    Nonetheless, various celebrities also contributed actively in supporting the cause. Well known Bollywood actor, Aditya Pancholi took The Green Oath, adopted the sapling and lauded the initiative taken by Zee Cafe. Veteran actors Farida Jalal and Akhilendra Mishra appreciated the noble cause taken up by Zee Caf?. The Green Turn initiative reached out to people of various age groups and was able to create awareness about the alarming rate of deforestation and the need to preserve our environment.

    In a bid to cut down its carbon footprint, Hard Rock Caf? had partnered with Zee Caf? and hosted a Green Turn Unplugged night on 7th June across the cities of Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. In keeping with the promise of making the world a greener place, the Green Turn Unplugged initiative saw Hard Rock Caf? playing host to bands Dischordian (Mumbai), Suahil & Adi (Delhi) and Pushing Tin (Bengaluru) who gave only live acoustic performances for the night. The pepped up crowd of Hard Rock Caf? expressed sensitivity towards ecology and showed keen interest in making greener Earth. More than 500 patrons across Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru volunteered for the cause.

    Zee Caf? had also tied up with GreenNGood.com?s Plant A Tree drive. Hard Rock Caf??s Mumbai and Delhi outlets had GreenNGood.com stalls; wherein patrons donated 60 and adopted a sapling, facilitating the plantation of a tree in Southern Rajasthan, one of India?s worst deforested zones. As a part of this initiative, each patron received a certificate stating his commitment to having taken a Green Turn and would receive periodic updates of the project?s growth.

    The Zee Caf? initiative Green Turn was able to touch upon more than 1300 people, and make them realize that the world has reached a stage where the natural disasters that have been occurring are not ?natural? anymore. Human beings and our creations are the cause of these disasters. It?s time to stop, think, act and take a stand.
