• UTV Action showcases "HANNA" as the Movie of the Month

    MUMBAI: In an endeavor to bring the best of action content to its viewers, UTV Action presents the power packed blockbuster "Hanna" dubbed in Hindi for the first time on Indian television on Saturday, 30th June 2012 at 8.45pm as the Movie of the Month.

    The movie is based on Hanna, a 16 year old girl, best described as the bright, inquisitive and a devoted daughter to her father. Uniquely, she has the strength, the stamina, and the smartness of a soldier; these come from being raised by her widowed father Erik, an ex-CIA man, in the wilds of North Finland. Erik has taught Hanna to hunt, put her through extreme self-defense workouts, and home-schooled her with only an encyclopedia and a book of fairy tales. Hanna has been living a life unlike any other teenager; her upbringing and training have been one and the same, all geared to making her the perfect assassin. But out in the world there is unfinished business for Hanna?s family, and it is with a combination of pride and apprehension that Erik realizes his daughter can no longer be held back. What will be Hanna?s fate? Will she turn out to be the perfect warrior and finish the unfinished?

    MUMBAI: Ushering in the festive season, the all new UTV Action is all set to give viewers a power packed experience.

    In line with its new tagline ? Home Of The Warriors, UTV Action presents a special line up of blockbusters featuring iconic action heroes in Christmas Brave Hearts starting December 25 till January 1 at 8.45 pm.

    Mumbai: UTV Action, India?s number one Hollywood action channel is all set to kick off the festival with ?Diwali Action Daredevils?. The 20 day festival offers movie buffs a star studded treat of Hollywood?s biggest action blockbusters that await them every night at 8.45pm from 7th to 27th October only on UTV Action.

    The power packed package starts with Kung Fu Hustle and includes gripping films like Salt, Angels and Demons, Resident evil ? Afterlife, Karate Kid, Hancock and many more. Adding to the celebrations Diwali Action Daredevils will also feature several new titles like V for Vendetta, The Other Guys, The Cell for the very first time on the channel.   • Race Ahead with Terminator Salvation on UTV Action

    MUMBAI : WLiving up to its path breaking reputation, UTV Action, the high octane channel adopts a unique innovation to promote its Movie of the Month ? ?Terminator Salvation?. Based on the concept of the sci-fi blockbuster, the channel created an exciting game that tests the racing skills of participants on a movie theme based racing track board. The activation started on 14th September and will go on till 16th September across media agencies in Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi and will be carried out by Jagran Solutions.

    The specially designed game tests the racing skills of players as they are made to tactically move a battery operated car through strategically placed red lights and creatures inspired from the movie. The catch in the game is surpassing these obstacles which will force the player to change his/her path and yet reach the finish line in record time. With each player facing a minimum of 3 obstacles, only those who manage to finish the race in the shortest time span will win the coveted Terminator Salvation title and goodies from UTV Action.

    Speaking on the innovation, Sameer Ganapathy, Business Head, UTV Action said, ?This being the first time that Terminator Salvation will be shown in Hindi on Indian Television, we wanted people to experience the true essence of the film though a special on ground activation.     MUMBAI: Ushering in the celebrations of Ganesh Chaturthi in Hyderabad, UTV Action Telugu has tied up with ?Pahelwan Ganesh? - the second largest Ganesh Pandal in the city. As the city gears up to celebrate the auspicious festival, the channel is set to splash the festive fervor amongst its viewers by joining hands with the 30 feet high ?Pahelwan Ganesh? at Begum Bazaar. UTV Action Telugu will be the sole sponsor at the pandal for the 11 day revelry.
