• 9XM Celebrates World Music Day With the ?9XM WALL OF MUSIC?

    MUMBAI: 9XM, India?s leading Bollywood Music Channel, is celebrating the World Music Day on 21st June with a unique on-ground innovation aimed at all the Bollywood music fans. The Channel is creating India?s very first digital music wall called the ?9XM Wall of Music? offering free downloads of the latest Bollywood songs. The 9XM Wall of Music will be installed at the Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus in Mumbai and DAME Shivaji Stadium in Delhi.

    Based on the Augmented Reality technology, the 9XM Wall of Music will enable multiple songs downloads from the latest Bollywood movies. People can download songs by scanning the Bollywood movie posters placed on this wall, with their smart phone devices. People who do not own a smart phone can also download songs from the 9XM Wall of Music by sending a SMS to 54646 to get the song link on their phones for further download.

This designated day of free music will be celebrated by 9XM in a grand way by providing unlimited free downloads of the latest Bollywood hit songs.   • UTV Indiagames crosses 100 million downloads on the Nokia Store!

    Mumbai: UTV Indiagames, India?s premier gaming company has created history yet again! It has crossed the 100 million downloads mark on the Nokia Store! UTV Indiagames is the first company in the world to have reached this landmark on the Nokia Store with the total number of downloads being 1,00,016,329. Only three months back, UTV Indiagames had crossed the 50 million downloads mark.

    Downloads were recorded from countries right around the world, with the top 10 countries being India, Vietnam, Brazil, Turkey, Indonesia, Thailand, Russian Federation, Mexico, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

    Cricket, Bollywood, Casual and Action are the top three genres of games downloaded with top 10 games being - Ra. One Genesis, T20 Fever 2011, Aladdin, DLF IPL, Force, Cricket T20 World Championship, D3 Commando, Mowgli in the Jungle Book, Cricket T20 World Championship and Monster Truck Dash.

    MUMBAI: Zee TV proudly announces the winner of the largest dance reality show, ?Maruti Suzuki DANCE INDIA DANCE?. The show that created history in Indian television industry went LIVE from Shahaji Raje Krida Sankul (Andheri Sports Complex), Mumbai on April 21st on Zee TV from 8 pm onwards. In an intense, nerve-racking finish Rajsmitha Kar was voted the winner by millions of viewers from across the nation. Superstar Anil Kapoor was the star attractions at the glitzy evening and they presented the coveted Sunehri Taqdeer ki Topi to the talented winner.

Dil Ki Rani, Mohena?s act with a huge Venetian mask. Raghav Crockroaz Juyal?s performed with a huge crocodile?s face as a prop. Pradeep Gurung?s ?Shaolin? act infused with freestyle and parkour. To add a touch of comedy this year?s finale also saw gags by Ali Asgar. Ali dressed himself like Aamir Khan?s character in the movie Delhi Belly and became the first ever item boy - the disco fighter! Along with Jay Bhanushali and Saumya Tandon, Manish Paul also co-anchored the event. For the very first time, Remo pledged his MJ band to an audience who matched his steps the best! The audience frenzy was to be seen to be believed!

  • Music India celebrates 100 years of Indian cinema

    Mumbai: "Ninety nine years ago, on April 21st 1913 Dada Saheb Phalke screened - Raja Harish Chandra, India‘s first full length feature film. It was a glorious event as it marked the beginning of what turned out to be the ultimate source of entertainment for the country.

    It gave all Indians what we love the most, Music and Movies. April 21st 2012 dawns the 100th year of Indian Cinema, and Music India, India‘s favourite Bollywood music channel commemorates this day by taking all its viewers through Indian cinema‘s hundred illustrious years, decade by decade, all day.

    With the best of the songs, interesting anecdotes and archive info, viewers are in store for a delightful treat.

  • UTV associates with Goafest for the third time

    MUMBAI: UTV continues its association with Goafest for the third straight year.

    Bindass, UTV Stars, UTV Movies and UTV Action have lined up activities for the festival that kicks off on 19 April.

    The channels will be present at the event across three days. Bindass will extend their relaunch campaign to the trade fraternity in Goa not only in the main Goafest venue (Zuri White Sands ? Varca beach) but will have a prominent presence in South Goa in the form of outdoor. Rain dance ? one of main properties Bindass has been taking up year-on-year - will also be supported by an innovative installation along with distribution of merchandise (flip flops and wayfarers).

    UTV Movies plans to marry the core proposition of the channel ?Jeeyo Bollywood? (Bollywood Movies) and the core competency of this fest (creativity). In this zone one can come and either use their creativity and finish Bollywood dialogues in their own way and get a customised T-Shirt with their line and name on the T-shirt or play some fun Bollywood games (like trivia or dartboard) and win specially crafted minimalistic Bollywood T Shirts ? a kind of a T-shirt to be introduced into the market by UTV Movies at Goafest.

    Mumbai: The Indian Film Industry has earned immense admiration and loyalty of people of not only in India but worldwide. To immortalize this legacy, the official channel of Bollywood launches the first iconic landmark in the country - ?UTV Stars Walk of the Stars?, which will bring Bollywood fans closer to their favourite stars.

    UTV STARS Walk of the Stars is a way of honoring the invaluable contribution of the biggest superstars of Indian Cinema. It is a premium property that will encompass renowned celebrities? handprints on a customized slab and specially designed brass statues of iconic legendary actors. While customized slabs bearing the handprints will be dedicated to the living legends of Indian Cinema, customized slabs with signatures will be dedicated to the legends that have passed away.

    28th March 2012 marked the launch of the property in India, Mumbai, at the Bandra Bandstand Promenade. The launch was a grand affair that witnessed the felicitation of the ?Kapoor Khandaan? one of the legendary families of Indian Cinema that is synonymous with and has contributed immensely to the Indian Film Industry. Prithiviraj Kapoor, Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor, Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Karishma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor?s slabs were installed on the day. And as a special honor, brass statues on a bench of the great Raj Kapoor and Shammi Kapoor were also installed!
