MUMBAI: 9X Media?s international music channel 9XO is celebrating the World Music Day by airing the best of World Music from across the globe. 9XO has created a special programming band titled Out There - A World Music Day Special, which will air music video by international artists from Spain, S. Korea, Italy, France, Egypt, etc. These videos will be aired all through the day on 20th and 21st June 2013.

Commenting on this unique programming initiative, Luke Kenny, Channel Head, 9XO said, "World Music Day originated in France and is celebrated annually on 21st of June. It is a day when the world celebrates the magical gift of Music. The youth today doesn?t just stick to popular music but is constantly exploring the music from across the World. We at 9XO are celebrating this special day by presenting our viewers with the best of world music from across the globe.

And this year, 9XO is proud to be the first Indian Music Channel to directly bring Korean Pop Music (K-pop) to India which will be aired as part of the ?Out There? programming band. K-Pop as a genre is a huge force globally, and has a following in India as well. Now it has a television platform, and 9XO is happy to be that platform."

Luke further added, "9X Media has created a music video titled Tung Tucking Ting which will also be aired on 9XO from 21st June to celebrate World Music Day.
