Mumbai: The film that set the cash register ringing at the box office grossing over 138 crores worldwide, one of Bollywood?s most anticipated and successful film of the year 2012, Son of Sardaar is all set to premiere on Star Gold, on Saturday, 16th February 2013 at 9 pm.
After Singham, Bodyguard, Ra.One, Housefull 2 and Bol Bachchan; Son of Sardaar is the latest 100 crore grosser to premiere on Star Gold. The film which is actor-producer Ajay Devgn?s fourth film in the 100 crore club of Bollywood, also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Juhi Chawla. The film has been directed by Ashwini Dhir.
The channel has rolled out a marketing campaign across the Hindi speaking markets with a combination of on-air, print, digital, outdoor and cinema promotion.
The on-air campaign for the premiere is being aired on other network channels of Star India. Star Gold will also promote the premiere on other channel genres including Bollywood entertainment, news, kids and music.

Commenting further on the premiere, he said, ?We have always received a phenomenal response for our premieres. Ra.One received 6.7 TVR; Singham got 8.7 TVR, while Bodyguard created a new record with 10 TVR. Hence, such premieres of big ticket Bollywood films are not only well received by the audience but also a fantastic platform from the advertisers? standpoint.?
With the maximum number of 100 crore Bollywood films being premiered on the channel, and the latest much talked about TV rights deal between the channel and superstar Salman Khan for his forthcoming films till 2017, Star Gold can definitely be called the Home of Bollywood Premieres for all Hindi movie buffs.
