NEW DELHI: The Government has reiterated that it has no proposal to allow telecast of mature content at late night hours on television channels.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tewari told Parliament that there is no plan to change the Programme Code in this regard.
Tewari also clarified that the word ?unrestricted public exhibition? in Rule 6(1)(o) of the Cable Television Networks Rules 1994 will have the same meaning assigned to it in the Cinematograph Act 1952.
NEW DELHI: DD Bharati, will telecast Hungarian art and culture on its weekly window ?World Culture? from 9 December.
The pubaster?s art and culture channel has signed an MoU with the Hungarian Information and Cultural Centre in Delhi for this purpose.
DD Bharati will kick off the series on 9 December at 7 pm.
The MoU was signed by Usha Bhasin, additional director general, on behalf of Doordarshan and Tibor Kovacs, director, on behalf of Hungarian Information and Cultural Centre.
The year 2013 is the birth centenary of renowned painter Amrita Shergill. Special events will be organised by the Hungarian Information and Cultural Centre and these will be telecast on DD Bharati.
