Hallmark brings viewers closer to the horrors of war

MUMBAI: A drama series about the horror of war, the pain of memory and the power of laughter!

That is what Hallmark has up its sleeve for viewers with its new show Changi. The show airs every Wednesday at 5:30 pm.

World War II turned out to be much worse than what a lot of people expected. The show from Australia deals with six young men among 15,000 who were forced to suffer the ignominy of surrender and the helplessness of incarceration in the notorious Japanese prison camp Changi..

Over the next three and a half years the six men form a special friendship - a bond that could only be forged under such extremes of mental and physical torment.

Each episode of Changi tells one of their stories - not just of their time together in the camp - but their life story. They don't know whether they can survive or not, but kept their hope strongly without being discouraged by adversity.

The series stars Stephen Curry, Leon Ford and Anthony Hayes.
