TBS first US network after HBO to air 'Sex and the City'

ATLANTA: Atlanta-based cable network TBS Superstation from the Time Warner stable will air a cleaned-up version of HBO's Sex and the City. The telecast will commence from June 2004.
In India the show will start airing on HBO from 4 October every Saturday night at 11:30 pm. A report in the Atlanta Journal indicates that TBS will be the first network other than HBO to air the episodes.
Sex and the City has become a cult favourite. It follows the search of four single women in New York for meaningful relationships. Knowing that some scenes would be too racy for regular US cable the producers had originally shot the same scenes from a different angle. In this way the show could be reworked for a mainstream audience.
