Vijay TV to showcase 'Natyanjaili 2005' as a Navaratri offering

MUMBAI: With the coming of Navaratri Vijay TV has lined up an exclusive mega dance extravaganza with renowned Tamil heroines in Chennai titled Natyanjali 2005 with an exclusive on-air and on-ground classical dance festival.

The on-ground event scheduled on the 23, 24 and 25 September will take place at the Chettinad Vidyasharam Auditorium, Chennai featuring for the first time well known classical danseuse from Tamil television. The names being: Revathi, Anitha Rathnam, Sudha Chandran, Dhiya, Kalyanee, Prabha, Manu, Lakshmi Gopalaswamy and Aparna.

Natyanjali 2005 will be aired as a seven-part half hour series between 3 -12 October at 6:00 pm on weekdays (Monday - Friday) with an one hour grand finale on 11 October from 6 - 7 PM

This event is a concept which brings to the fore the philosophy of Navaratri, which revolves around the worship of the three facets of Goddess Shakthi - Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswathi, with each of the dancers depicting in their recitals a facet of Shakthi.
