MUMBAI: This is an initiative that underscores the importance of online streaming. Fans of European football will be able to watch video highlights from every match at Uefa's Euro 2004 tournament online.

A new subscription service is being offered at the official website euro2004.com. In India the event will air on ESPN Star Sports (ESS).

The euro2004.com action broadband service will provide subscribers with footage of all the key moments in each of the tournament's 31 games from 12 June to 4 July 2004. It is the first time that such a service has been available for a Uefa European Football Championship.

Subscribers will also receive access to behind the scenes features and live audio commentary from every match. They can also see Uefa European Football Championship archive video clips from past final tournaments. These date back to the inaugural tournament in 1960.

The service is available in seven languages including English, Portuguese and French. euro2004.com action has been developed by Uefa New Media in partnership with Real Networks. The service runs till 31 August, 2004 and is available at euro2004.com for 14.95 euros.
