MUMBAI: The action in the South American world cup qualifiers reaches its peak as soccer superpowers Brazil and Argentina lock horns on 9 June.

Ten Sports will telecast the match live at 6:30 am. For those who are unable to catch the live action, the full match would be repeated on the same day at 12:00 noon and later at 8:30 pm, states an official communication.

After a shocking loss to Ecuador in their previous match, Argentina is expected to go all out against archrival Brazil. Eleven months have passed and the wounds inflicted by Brazil in the finals of the Copa America Peru 2004 have yet to heal.

Argentina lead the table with 28 points from 14 matches with eight wins, four draws and two losses followed by Brazil who have 27 points from 14 matches with seven wins, six draws and one loss, the release adds.

The top four teams out of ten in the South American zone qualify directly for 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany. The fifth placed team goes into a play-off against the winners of the Oceanic zone.
