Ten Sports bags 3-year telecast rights to Moto Grand Prix

MUMBAI: Ten Sports has bagged the telecast rights for18 Moto Grand Prix races in the 2006 season as well the complete 2007 and 2008 seasons. The telecast will be available live on the India and Pakistan beam of Ten Sports.
 
 

"In the last couple of years, we have developed a substantial and growing viewership for MotoGP and are delighted to cater to their interests with this new contract," said Taj Television Ltd CEO Chris McDonald.

While Valentino Rossi of Gauloises Yamaha Team has shown imperious form this year and is all set to wrap up the title, his countrymate from Italy, Max Biaggi on Repsol Honda is itching to get even, which should add to the excitement in 2006, states an official release.
 
 

Among the major sporting attractions on Ten Sports (on either the Indian, Pakistani or Middle East beams) in the coming months are India's much anticipated cricket tours to Pakistan and the West Indies, England's Tour of Pakistan, the Champions Trophy hockey and the US open tennis championship, the release adds.
