MUMBAI: ESPN STAR Sports has lined up world's most-watched soccer tournaments including the English Premier League, the Spanish Primera Liga, the UEFA Champion's League, the UEFA Cup, the FA Football Package and the Asian Football Confederation Package. This package has been further augmented recently with the addition of 2006 FIFA World Cup for the Indian sub-continent, the FIFA Confederations Cup 2005 and Brazillian soccer.
Soccer action from the best of leagues on ESPN STAR Sports is supported by a line up of interesting feature programming on EPL covering predictions, highlights, news and information, as well as pre and post game analysis, including Here We Go, Tiger First Edition, Football Forecast, Premiership Saturday, Super Sunday, Football Extra, Football Focus, Goals, Football Crazy, Football Up Close and the football magazine show produced out of India - Football Locker Room.
ESPN STAR Sports has also taken its football coverage to a whole newlevel with the addition of one of England's best-loved and well respected coaches, Sir Bobby Robson to its team of presenters on the FA Cup and English Premier League matches this season. Sir Robson has joined regular hosts John Dykes and Andrew Leci in Singapore, in expert commentary and discussions during 'LIVE' matches, and pre- and post-game programs, informs an official release.
ESPN kicks off the English Premer League on 16 April with a match between Manchester City and Liverpool at 2:30 am. This will be followed by 2 matches at 7:25 pm: Liverpool Vs Tottenham Hotspur in ESPN and and Crystal Palace Vs Norwich City in Star Sports. ESPN will telecast the match between Birmingham City and Portsmouth at 9:40 pm and Star Sports will air the match between Charlton Athletic and Bolton Wanderers at 9:30 pm. On 17 April, ESPN will telecast the Southampton Vs Aston Villa match at 6:30 am and star Sports will air the match between Fulham and Manchester City on the same day at 1:30 pm.
In the Spanish Primera Liga, Star Sports will telecast the Atletico Madrid Vs Espanyol match at 1:30 pm on 16 April. The channel will telacast the first FA Cup semi-final match between Arsenal and Blackburn Rovers on 16 April at 4:40 pm.
