Belgian Grand Prix Live on ESPN STAR Sports

New Delhi, September 8, 2005: Formula One World Championship 2005 leader Fernando Alonso is taking nothing for granted yet. The Spanish prodigy, with a comfortable 27 points lead may be sitting pretty but McLaren and the Flying Finn, Kimi Raikonnen, have others plan with just four races to go in the season. ESPN STAR Sports brings to you live and exclusive telecast of what could be the deciding race of the season, The Belgian Grand Prix at Spa- Francorchamps.

Renault will be hoping for Alonso to pull a three points lead over Kimi to seal his Drivers' Championship for the season. Alonso will clinch the title if he is able to stretch his lead to over 30 points over the Flying Finn. The McLaren driver has certainly been flying in last couple of races but bad luck has negated his success time and again. The two teams have more to contest with the Constructors' Championship evenly poised between the two; Renault having the slightest of advantage of 8 points.

Narain Karthikeyan will finally get his hands on the new Jordan car after he was outdone by the toss of the coin in the last race. The only Indian F1 driver is a winner at Spa in F3 and can spring in a decent performance to impress his chances for a team position next season.

The circuit at Spa is a driver's favourite and spreads to a length of 44 laps of almost 7 kms each. The Track has the longest lap distance in the World Championship and is a rather tricky yet interesting circuit for racing. Weather has often played an important role at Spa, and has often left drivers in sticky situations. The size of the track sometimes
leaves only one portion of the circuit wet, while it still could be dry at another. It has every challenge, from steep slopes, flowing bends, tight corners and of course Eau Rouge. Eau Rouge is probably the most
exciting corner in modern F1. It has a little bend to the left and when the drivers start turning right as the track starts going up.

The racing this weekend promises to be anything but ordinary. Race your adrenaline, set your pulse and zoom to speed of 300 km/h with ESPN Star Sports during the live telecast of the Belgian Grand Prix.
