Sun TV to launch soaps for primetime, afternoon band

MUMBAI: Two prominent production houses down South, Radaan TV and AVM have lined up new soaps for Sun TV. While Radaan's Selvi will be telecast Monday to Friday at 9:30 pm, AVM's weekday soap Nimmadhi is slotted for the afternoon band.

Selvi will replace Radaan's another mega serial Annamalai which is currently running on Sun TV. The soap will mark the debut of popular South Indian actress Saritha on television. Radhika Sarathkumar, who heads Radaan, also plays an important role in Selvi. The serial will be directed by Sundar K Vijayan.

AVM's Nimmadhi, directed by Dhandapani, stars Vishwa and Meena Kumari in the lead roles. AVM's another mega serial Sorgam, currently on Sun TV, is nearing competition now.
