New Urdu Channel 'TV One' Signs on AsiaSat 3S

MUMBAI: Satellite operator Asia Satellite Telecommunications Company (AsiaSat) and Airwaves Media of Pakistan have signed a lease agreement for C-band capacity on AsiaSat 3S for digital free to air distribution of a new Urdu television channel, TV One, to Pakistan and over 50 countries and regions in the Asia Pacific.
 
 

TV One has commenced broadcasting on AsiaSat 3S, offering a mix of programming content including news and current affairs, entertainment, drama and music.

Taher A Khan, chairman of Airwaves Media - a subsidiary of the Interflow, the largest advertising group in Pakistan - said, "We are very excited about the launch of our new channel TV One on AsiaSat 3S marking a new era of our media services in Asia. By broadcasting on Asia's most popular satellite platform and in free to air format, we are able to rapidly grow our television viewership across our country and beyond." Airwaves Media is also the largest cinema advertising sales company in Pakistan. Besides TV One, it runs an FM station Radio One/FM91.

TV One is available on AsiaSat 3S in C-band with the following reception parameters:
