Deborah Bull is new BBC Governor

LONDON: Deborah Bull has been appointed a governor of the BBC. Bull will take up her post on 1 August 2003 for a four-year term. She replaces Sir Richard Eyre who left the Board at the end of May 2003 due to increasing external commitments.
In a statement BBC chairman Gavyn Davies said: "I greatly welcome the appointment of Deborah Bull and look forward to working with her. Richard Eyre's contribution as a governor with impressive creative credentials was always going to be hard to match, but Deborah's appointment achieves just that."
Bull has written and presented several programmes and series for the BBC including The Dancer's Body (2002), Travels with my Tutu (1998), Breaking the Law (2001), and Law in Order (2002).
