MUMBAI: Reed Business Information (RBI) Asia has announced changes in the management and editorial teams of Television & Entertainment Group (TEG) with the departure of publishing director Jonathan Hallett and editorial director Janine Stein.
TEG is now led by Catherine Wong, who is currently the publisher of manufacturing group in RBI Asia. The editorial team is led by editor-in-chief Surajit Frank Agarwal, together with editor - Danny Chan.
These changes take effect immediately. TEG publishes established titles for the television and entertainment industry, which include Television Asia and Asia Image.
Wong has more than 12 years experience in publishing regional B2B journals and broadcasting, which includes launching a satellite channel, managing the global distribution of TV productions and advertising campaigns of post production companies in Asia.
“The team has done a tremendous job over the past 12 years, entrenching the publications as leading industry information providers,” says Reed Business Information Asia Raymond Wong.
“We are sad to see Jonathan and Janine leave but we respect their personal aspirations and wish them all the best in their future undertakings. They have also provided guidance and support to the new team to ease the transition. I am confident that the group will carry on the good work and bring the publications to greater heights in 2006,” adds Wong.
Agarwal has more than 15 years of editorial experience and spent two years as a television producer in India. Chan is the editor of Asia Image. Chan has more than seven years of editorial experience and has qualifications in mass communication and audio engineering.
Television Asia was launched in 1993 and covers industry issues and trends. Asia Image was launched in 1994 and covers the broadcast, production, and post production market in Asia.
Both magazines have spun off other supplementary titles such as Television Asia Mandarin edition, Media Review, Executive Briefing, Executive News, Satellite and Cable Annual Guide, Guide to Media and Asia Image Annual Guide. TEG also produces and hosts the annual Asian Television Awards and Apollo Awards.
