MUMBAI: City 60, the big city-focused prime time news bulletin of recently launched Star News, has already had an impact, the channel says.

The City 60 bulletin that aired on 9 April at 10 pm was instrumental in saving a 14 month-old infant's life, according to an official release.

PRAYER ANSWERED: Govind, the 14-month-old infant who was operated upon after Star reported on his sorry plight.

The bulletin highlighted the predicament of Dhamlu, a man from Sahranpur, UP, and his 14-month old infant son Govind. Dhamlu arrived in Delhi about two months ago to admit Govind, who required major brain surgery. However, Govind could not get his son admitted to any hospital, as beds were not available.

The Govind story on Star News was taken note of by the Delhi health minister Dr AK Walia, who immediately wrote a letter to the hospital. This resulted in Govind getting admitted to the GB Pant hospital where he was operated upon successfully.
