MUMBAI: After the launch of Sahara Samay news channels and the announcement of Bollywood multi- starrer serials on Sahara TV, the Sahara India Pariwar has now decided to foray into making movies and entertainment content for television in Tollywood.

Sahara India Pariwar has appointed leading Bengali cinema hero, Prosenjit Chatterjee, as vice- president of the project, states an official release. He would be required to create the right mix for mega-entertainment, and to oversee various related aspects, the release adds.

"Bengal's rich literature and cinematic talent will also help us offer higher quality television entertainment to the viewers of Sahara TV," Sahara India Pariwar, managing worker and chairman Subrata Roy is quoted as saying in the release.
