NEW DELHI: Radaan Mediaworks is gearing up for a host of new production initiatives, including a mystery-based one-hour weekly thriller serial Sivam Deva Ragasyam, scheduled to go on air on Sun TV from June onwards.

Confirming the development, the Chennai-based production house's chief executive officer and director B S Radhakrishnan said that Radaan is also working on plans to produce Hindi soaps apart from game shows in regional languages and a mega soap in Kannada and two soap operas in Telugu for Gemini TV.

Radaan, which currently produces more than 10 shows for channels in India and abroad, will also focus on telefilms, cross-over films and feature films this year.

Apart from southern regional languages, Radaan recently forayed into Gujarati programming with Kanku Pagla, a Gujarati soap for ETV.

Radaan, which picked up a 49 per cent equity stake in Talent Factory, a production arm part of the Colombo-based $250 million Maharaja Group's media outfit, is also getting ready to launch a new soap opera in Sinhalese soon.

Apart from Colombo, Radaan set up an office in Malaysia to create content and has already produced big budget shows. The company had also tied up with Astro Vanavil, a leading channel in Malaysia, to broadcast Chithi and Annamalai for the Tamil community.
