Orange Street triumphs at Levi's Great Indian Rock festival

Levi's Great Indian Rock (GIR) festival conducted in Delhi on 9 and 10 March has a winner. Orange Street emerged numero uno among the twelve bands that performed.

An official release informs that Orange Street will release their album Candywalk with Magnasound and their videos will be seen on the tube sometime next week.

The selection of the band was done by a panel of judges, including Amit Saigal, Editor/Publisher, RSJ, Sam Lal, Senior Editor, RSJ, Levi's® and an audience poll the release states.

Orange Street is the only band in India to have released singles on all Great Indian Rock Project albums produced by RSJ.

Speaking on the venture Suman Jaya Chatterjee GM - Marketing, Levi Strauss (India) said "In our sixth straight year of the sponsorship of Great Indian Rock Festival, the Levi's brand is taking this partnership to even higher grounds. This year there has been a tremendous response to the festival with over 200 bands applying. Levi's has always committed itself to originality and individuality and the Great Indian Rock Festival is the perfect medium for this."

Other bands that performed at the fest included Vishnu, After Dark, Freedom, Bleeding Madras, Envision. These bands will also be featured in the Levi's Great Indian Rock - Vol. 6 album which will be released by RSJ Records.
