MUMBAI: Television and film actor Mohnish Behl's father Colonel Rajneesh Behl died last night after his flat in the high rise building - Sagar Sangeet, situated in the Colaba area of Mumbai, caught fire. The 77 year old Behl suffered third degree burns.

Media reports said that the fire allegedly started in Behl's penthouse apartment. The senior Behl's body was found in a charred condition almost four hours after the fire broke out. Rajneesh Behl was the husband of yesteryears' actress Nutan.

While one media report says that Mohnish was away at a shoot when the incident happened and arrived at the scene later; another says that he, along with his wife and daughter was rescued by firemen. The fire was brought under control only early this morning.
