Lashkara telecasts live religious ceremony remembering late Beant Singh, ex-CM of Punjab

MUMBAI: Lashkara, the Punjabi Channel from Reminiscent India Television Limited, is telecasting live a "Shraddhanjali" (religious ceremony) for the former chief minister of Punjab, the late Sardar Beant Singh.

The telecast began at 12 noon and continues till 3:00 pm on the occasion of his 7th death anniversary.

Beant Singh became chief minister of Punjab on 25 February, 1992. He died in a suicide bomb attack on 31 August, 1995.

Current chief minister of Punjab Amarinder Singh and senior Congress Party officials from the state as well as from the Capital are attending the "Shraddhanjali" that is being conducted at Grain Market, Payal, in Ludhiana district.
