MUMBAI: Logo, Viacom's network for the US lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, will be launched on 17 February 2005 in the US.

Viacom's Logo has announced the details of its programme slate. Marshaling the creative resources of Viacom and MTV, Logo has already created a library of more than 150 movies and documentaries

In addition, it is developing over 20 projects with celebrities like Cher and Chastity Bono, Alan Cumming and Margaret Cho. Logo has also acquired films with gay themes like The Birdcage and Philadelphia.

Documentaries include Ruthie & Connie...Every Room In the House. It tells the tale of two lesbians celebrating their 25th anniversary. With Cher, it is developing a series called Family Outing. The show tells the coming out stories of celebrities and newsmakers and their journeys with their family and friends.

Another series being developed is Do I? It follows gay and lesbian couples considering marriage as they spend time with a relationship expert to determine whether they're ready to take on the responsibility of marriage.
