BBC Three controller Stuart Murphy calls it a day

MUMBAI: UK pubcaster BBC Three controller Stuart Murphy is leaving the BBC to join independent production company RDF.

BBC television director Jana Bennett said, "Stuart has inspired many programme makers and has been an insightful, funny, provocative and highly valued member of the BBC television team. It has been fantastic working with him in the BBC and we look forward to working with him in his new role at RDF."

Stuart Murphy has been the BBC Three controller since its launch in 2003.
