Star World set to launch three new shows

MUMBAI: Its show time folks. Star World is ready to debut three new launches for the season.

The trio to be unveiled in forthcoming weeks comprise a three-in-one drama Third watch, a weekly sitcom Yes, Dear and a sci-fi venture Adventure Inc.
Third Watch will premiere on Monday, 21 July, at 10:00 pm. An action-packed drama, it is about the people who serve as police, paramedics and fire fighters on the "third watch", the shift from 3-11am, says a company release.
The stories, about the rescue workers who keep the streets safe and answer cries, should be a great watch. Created by the award winning creators of ER, this ensemble drama is set in New York City and stars Michael Beach, Coby Bell, Bobby Cannavale, Eddie Cibrian, Molly Price, Kim Raver, Anthony Ruivivar, Skipp Sudduth and Jason Wiles.
Third watch is the story of these close knit communities, the cops and the emergency personnel, who work side by side in harsh, urban conditions.
Next in the line is a weekly sitcom about two young couple and outrageous views on parenting, Yes, Dear that begins airing on 28 July, Monday at 9 pm. Starring Anthony Clara and Jean Louisa Kelly as Greg and Kim Warner the parents of a toddler, Sam. The sitcom showcases their struggle on a daily basis to become prefect at the job.
While Kim is a neurotic, stay-at-home mother, her husband, Grey is career-driven. While Kim is determined to be the perfect mother and perfect wife and to raise the perfect son, her sister, Christine Hughes, played by Liza Snyder is a very down-to-earth mother of two. She continually reminds her that life will never be perfect. Christine's husband, Jimmy (Mike O'Malley) feels compelled to share with his brother-in-law his philosophy about being a husband and a parent while still remaining a man.
Last in the pipeline is Adventure Inc. Beginning its innings from 2 August, the show details the exploits of legendary explorer Judson Cross and his crew Mackenzie Previn and Gabriel Patterson. Micheal Biehn stars as Cross, while Karen Cliché and Jesse Nilsson as Previn and Patterson respectively. Cross has a reputation as 'the man who can find anything' that is widespread, which get him opportunities, danger and excitement. Be it puzzles from the history, present day mysteries or assignment to bring the villains to book, he takes up the challenge.
An interesting addition to the drama line up of Star's English entertainment line up, Adventure Inc. is all about a charming, ruggedly handsome and streetwise adventure hero - James Bond in the wilderness minus the ladies of course.
