Disney Channel's three series win Daytime Emmy Awards

MUMBAI: The creative teams behind three Disney Channel series, Walt Disney Television Animation’s Kim Possible and Brandy & Mr Whiskers and the Playhouse Disney hit from William Joyce and Nelvana Ltd., Rolie Polie Olie, won Daytime Emmy Awards on Saturday at the 32nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards creative arts ceremony in Beverly Hills.

Disney Channel led all cable networks in Daytime Emmy Awards wins at this event.
 
 
Marking the series second Daytime Emmy Award, Rolie Polie Olie won in the category Outstanding Special Class Animated Program. The series is produced by Nelvana Ltd. and televised at 11 am on weekdays during Disney Channel’s learning-focused programming block Playhouse Disney.

Kim Possible and its production team Melissa Ellis and Fil Brown won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing – Live Action and Animation category. The series received five nominations this year. The fifth category will be announced Friday during a ceremony in New York. Kim Possible airs at 5:30 pm on weekdays on Disney Channel.

Walt Disney Television Animation's Rossen Varbanov was honored with a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement for Storyboarding in an Animated Production for his work on Disney's Brandy & Mr Whiskers.
