Sahara asserts 9 pm soap bonds with young women

MUMBAI: Sahara One's flagship drama show Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki is climbing up the ratings charts, particularly among younger female audiences.

Quoting Tam data, the channel claims the show has delivered consistent ratings in the Hindi speaking markets, hitting a high of 2.3 TVRs on 29 June (Wednesday).

The show garnered a higher rating of 2.92 TVRs among female audiences in the age group 25-34 years for the week ended 2 July, according to an official release. Developed by Rajshri Productions, the daily show airs at 9 pm.

Sahara One asserts that the channel share during this period stood at 9.92 per cent, ahead of Sony Entertainment Television (9.8 per cent) and Zee TV (5.31 per cent).

Says Sahara One Television COO Purnendu Bose, "In this era of hard-core saas-bahu sagas, our 'different' content has been welcomed by the viewers. A lot of the credit also goes to Rajshri Productions, which brings traditional Indian values and culture to the show. We are happy that Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki, which depicts Indian family values and ethics, is setting a trend on television."
