'Raaz'- forensic show on Channel 7

MUMBAI: Crime pays, at least, for news channels. An endless list of crime shows are showcased on the telly at present. Newly-launched news channel, Channel 7, is also keeping up with the trend.

The channel takes a closer look at forensic science through a crime show Raaz. This weekly show will air at 11 pm. The repeat telecast of the show will air on Thursdays at 4:30 pm and Sundays at 12:30 pm.

Raaz is based on real life incidents and is the latest from the bouquet of programmes that Channel 7 has to offer, informs a media release.

Going by the adage that no one can escape the long arm of the law, forensic science is what helps the authorities nab the culprits by turning unseen clues into concrete evidence.

This show will emphasise how forensic science helps solve cases, which would have been nothing but closed chapters buried in files, otherwise.

To make matters interesting, every episode of Raaz is based on real life stories. The best of technology is put in use such that the reel plots match the real ones.

A team of experts is in place to lend even more authenticity to the show ensuring that the viewer is glued to the TV set till the criminal is exposed.

Central Forensic Science Laboratories, former president Dr VN Sehgal, is exclusively associated with the program and will be on screen with his team, to explain technical jargon and terminology associated with forensic science such that it is understood by one and all. DR Sehgal is popularly known in forensic circles across the world as India's Invisible Man for his uncanny ability to dig up invisible clues.

Raaz demystifies the miracle of forensic science in bringing impossible cases to justice.
