Konami bags 'American Idol' interactive gaming rights

MUMBAI: Konami Digital Entertainment has inked a multi-year agreement with FremantleMedia Licensing Worldwide (FLW) , the US based licensing division of FremantleMedia and the licensor and co-producer of American Idol, wherein Konami will have exclusive interactive video game rights for the blockbuster reality show.

According to the deal, FLW Americas has appointed Konami to develop both 'GenNext' and current generation games based on the show. These games will be distributed across Canada, America and Latin America.

Konami already has music video games like Karaoke Revolution and Dance Dance Revolution under its belt.
